SQL Reporting "How to" series on custom colouration

(2/17/2009)

Ever been asked to spruce up existing reports or get a bit more "creative" with the reports you're writing?

Well, help is at hand, David Lean has just published a 4 part series on how to do just that...

David Lean has just released a brilliant "How to" series of blog posts, showing how flexible SQL Reporting really is through colour customisation.

It's a 4 part series, giving you a good idea on how to "spruce up" reports with conditional and customised colouration both for tabular data reports and charts.

Links to the series:

  • Part 1 - Conditional Color The Basics. Report Expressions & Custom Code
  • Part 2 - Conditional Color for Tables & Charts.
  • Part 3 - Continuous Color functions – Color Saturation
  • Part 4 - Continuous Color functions for Multi-Dimensional analysis (in charts)
